A presentation to the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association on useful life and depreciation factors for 3D printing and its influence on established machine tools and manufacturing

2018 Valuation for University

The assignment included valuation for a scoreboard, athletic uniforms, and various computing equipment for a university in Illinois.

2017 Asset Management for Cinema Post-Production Facility

The assignment included tagging, recording, and reconciling assets at nearly twenty sites in southern California for a post-production facility. This was later expanded to sites across the US and Canada in early 2018.

2016 Residual Memorandum for SLM Production 3D Printer

This unique report was developed by Micor to address asset residual considerations that lenders face. This short-form report covered equipment attributes, value consideration and residual estimates over the life of an SLM 3D printer.

2015 ASA International Appraisers Conference

A presentation on useful life and depreciation factors for 3D printing and its influence on established machine tools and manufacturing

2015 Appraisal of Fiber Optic Infrastructure Equipment

The assignment consisted of Micor acting as support on the appraisal of fiber optic transmission equipment. An on-site inspection of the equipment was conducted. Micor provided a report, market and industry overviews, and a rendering of opinion for fair value.

2015 Asset Management and Commissioning of Broadcast News Facility

The assignment included receiving, tagging, recording, and auditing a multi-channel broadcast news operation with live and post-production assets. Several stakeholder walkthroughs were completed to satisfy both internal and external stakeholders. A database of asset location and value data was provided to both engineering and financial users.

2015 Inventory and Valuation for Decommission of Broadcast News Facility

The assignment included the inventory and valuation of a multi-channel broadcast news operation with live and postproduction assets. The assets included legacy and current equipment. Assets were valued under different value definitions to support the disposal decisions to sell, re-deploy, or junk the items under consideration for both accounting and business analysis purposes.

2014 Personal Property Tax Consulting for Post-Production Facility

The assignment consisted of Micor reviewing a schedule of assets, categorizing them into appropriate categories for California personal property tax, and valuing them for a tax appeal. Micor was also required to construct a narrative and build valuation samples to be used in defense of the tax appeal.
